Social Worker Tasks In Social Change – Social Study About Societal Adjustment For Syrian Refugees With The Local Community

Abstract:

The study aimed to identify the tasks, roles and a statement point of view of social workers to adapt to the Syrian refugees and the local community process, Where the researcher was based on quantitative and qualitative approach through comprehensive inventory of Social Workers and the local community with Syrian refugees adapt to the participants in the local community development center program, The volume of the study population (20) social worker , community and refugees (80) participants.

Results of the study by social workers responses that the practitioner specialist social service functions in the face of social needs were high, and strongly relative ( 81.3 %) of the beneficiaries were trained and qualified to do their part in community development , and the percentage of households that have benefited from the programs from one institution reached ( 91.3 % ) , while the families that have benefited from more than one institution did not exceed the percentage ( 8.0 % ) , that ( 97.5 %) of the deal refugee families have as one of the local community and permanently , as it helps as much as possible in the construction of social relations , and this is referred to ( 93.8 % ) of the households .

According to most families ( 81.3 % ) indicated that they are practice training and assisting refugees and rehabilitation to do their part to get involved in the community as a result of working with social workers , despite the obstacles and difficulties , as well as confirmed ( 88.8 % ) of the households that provide guidance and counseling services to refugees in collaboration with institutions and associations relevant permanently , and ( 81.3 % ) of the households resort and permanently to the social worker for advice in dealing with refugees and all according to his area .

The study recommended raising the level of professionalism of social worker working in an international dimension , especially in the field of social work with refugees professional practice , as well as the activation of the social worker roles in professional practice with governmental and non-governmental and international institutions in the face of obstacles that limit the refugees and the local community benefit from social welfare services in a time of crisis , and the importance of faith in the role of the social worker with the involvement of refugee families and communities in the collective public programs to identify their problems and encourage them and help them even feel all societal responsibility and this helps them to increase self- confidence and social worker to address these problems and obstacles .
